Bangladesh Awami League has released the list of names of party candidates for the fifth phase of Union Parishad (UP) elections at Gurudaspur in Natore. The list was published in a press release signed by Awami League office secretary Biplob Barua on Thursday (December 2).
Earlier on Wednesday, the list of candidates was finalized at a meeting of the Local Government Representatives’ Nomination Board held at the Prime Minister’s official residence Ganobhaban. The meeting was chaired by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina, President of Awami League Local Government People’s Representative Nomination Board.
According to the decision of the meeting, Awami League candidates were nominated in the Union Parishad elections of different divisions.

Mostafizur Rahman, Lecturer in Mashinda UP, Md. Alauddin Bhutro in Chapila UP, Md. Among the six candidates, the new face is Rajshahi University’s former Tukhor Chhatra League leader Shariful Islam Sharif, with the remaining five being the last winning chairman of each boat.
Md. Shariful Islam Abek, the candidate for the new face boat, was overwhelmed and said, “Since my student life, I have always been by the side of the party with happiness and sorrow, which was evaluated by the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina.” I am grateful for that. At the same time, I would like to thank the people of Nazirpur Union for their support and cooperation.
