Today, November 5, Saturday is the 51st National Cooperative Day. The day was celebrated in the morning by hoisting the national flag with due dignity like all over the country. The theme of this year’s National Cooperative Day is ‘Bangabandhu’s Philosophy, Development in Cooperatives’. On the occasion of Cooperative Day 2022, at 9 in the morning, the rally came out from Gurudaspur Upazila Parishad Chattar and after the important Sarak demonstration of the upazila, the office of Upazila Cooperative Directorate organized a discussion meeting in the upazila hall room.
Upazila Executive Officer Shravani Roy presided over the meeting.
Natore District Awami League President Vir Muktijoddha Alhaj Professor Md. Abdul Quddus MP was present as the chief guest in the event. Cooperative Officer Md. Rabiul Rana’s welcome speech introduced the discussion meeting. MP Quddas said in his speech, Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman considered cooperatives as one of the practical methods of development.
Bangabandhu’s thoughts about cooperatives were deep and comprehensive. Cooperatives are an effective method in the areas of women’s empowerment, improving the quality of life of backward communities, etc. Cooperative societies are playing an active role in capital formation, investment, employment, production, marketing, etc. through shares and savings. Hopefully, the country’s cooperative organizations will play a leading role in fulfilling the government’s goals. With the collective efforts of all, we will be able to build the golden Bangladesh of Bangabandhu’s dream, free from hunger and poverty. Inshallah!
