Notification issued for appointment of 25 Ministers and 11 State Ministers

25 Ministers and 11 Ministers of State have been appointed by the President. A notification in this regard has been issued by the Cabinet Department on Thursday (January 11).

According to the notification, according to clause (2) of Article 56 of the Constitution of Bangladesh, the President has appointed them as Ministers and State Ministers of the Government of Bangladesh on January 11 (Thursday).

In the list of full ministers in the cabinet – A. A. Mozammel Haque, Obaidul Quader, Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Asaduzzaman Khan, Dr. Dipu Moni, Md. Tajul Islam, Muhammad Farooq Khan, Abul Hasan Mahmud Ali, Anisul Haque, Hasan Mahmud, Abdus Shaheed, Sadhan Chandra Majumder, RM Obaidul Mokhtadir Chowdhury, Abdur Rahman, Narayan Chandra Chand, Abdus Salam, Mahibul Hasan Chowdhury, Farhad Hossain, Faridul Haque Khan, Zillul Hakim, Saber Hossain Chowdhury, Jahangir Kabir Nanak, Nazmul Hasan Papon, Yafes Osman, Dr. Samant Lal Sen.

The list of state ministers includes Begum Simin Hossain Rimi, Nasrul Hamid, Junaid Ahmed Palak, Md. Ali Arafat, Mohibur Rahman, Khalid Mahmud Chowdhury, Zahid Farooq, Kujendra Lal Tripura, Rumana Ali, Shafiqur Rahman Chowdhury and Ahsanul Islam.

Meanwhile, there have been major changes in the new cabinet. Many of the outgoing cabinet did not get a place in the new cabinet. And 14 people are joining for the first time. There are 37 members of the new cabinet. The new cabinet members are taking oath today under the leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

It should be noted that Awami League won 222 out of 299 seats in the 12th National Parliament elections. 62 people were elected as independents, leaving behind the opposition party of the 11th parliament, Jatiya Party; 59 of whom are leaders of Awami League. And Jatiya Party’s seats have reduced by more than half to 11. Awami League’s partner party Jasad and Bangladesh Workers Party won two and Kalyan Party won one. Polling for one seat is suspended.
