The police recovered the hanging body of an old man from a mango tree in the yard of his house in Dinajpur’s Ghoraghat. The body was recovered from Mahuabagh village of Ghoraghat municipal area around 10 am on Sunday. Deceased Shahidul Islam (55) is the son of deceased Abdul Hamid of that village.
It is known that Shahidul Islam’s daughter, who died early in the morning, went out to answer the call of nature and found her father’s body hanging on the mango tree and informed the family members.
Ghoraghat Police Station OC (Investigation) Jayant Kumar Saha said that a UD case has been filed in the police station. As there was no complaint, the body was handed over to the family members.
