Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s mother Heeraben Modi passed away. He died on Friday (December 30) around 3:30 am while undergoing treatment at the hospital.
Heeraben Modi was 99 years old at the time of his death. Prime Minister Narendra Modi himself tweeted the news of his mother’s death.
Announcing the news of mother’s death, Prime Minister Modi tweeted, “Mother has gone to rest at the feet of God after a beautiful century.” I have always seen the Trinity in Mother. Which included the journey of a saint, the symbol of a Karma Yogi and commitment to values. This is how he spent his life.
In another tweet, Modi wrote, “When I met my mother on her 100th birthday, she said, work wisely and live your life cleanly.”
On Tuesday, Hiraben Modi was admitted to a hospital in Ahmedabad due to sudden ill health. The hospital did not say what exactly caused him to fall ill.
