Driver Rezaul Karim (50) was killed when the truck overturned in Handyal Bazar area of Chatmohar Mannannagar Regional Road of Chatmohar Upazila in Pabna. At this time, three others were injured. The accident took place on the road in front of the Handial Police Investigation Center at around 2 o’clock on Saturday, November 12.
The deceased driver is the son of deceased Sultan Sardar of Panchuria village of Mulgram Union of Rezaul Karim Upazila. Three workers in the truck were injured in the incident. However, their names are not known.
Residents said that a truck from Chatmohar was heading towards Mannannagar in Tadash to pick up goods. At that time, the truck lost control and fell into a deep ditch from the main road in the area adjacent to the Police Investigation Center, a little south of Handial Bazar Power. The driver of the truck was killed on the spot. Three injured workers were rescued and sent to Chatmohar Upazila Health Complex for treatment.
Handyal Union Parishad Chairman Sarkar Rabiul Karim Master confirmed the truth of the incident.
