PBI arrested Ahsan Habib, the fugitive accused in the murder case of school teacher Helena of Gurdaspur, Natore, from Baraharishpur in the city. Team PBI Natore has arrested the accused of murdering sensational teacher Latifa Helen alias Manju of Gurdaspur police station on Monday morning of September 12.
According to Natore PBI office, Natore’s Gurdaspur police station case No. 10 section 302/201/34 Mocha: Monowara Bewa (50), husband-deceased Nazim Uddin Pramanik, Sang- Gopinathpur filed a case in Gurdaspur police station as plaintiff. PBI Natore District Police Inspector Md. Nasirul Islam was appointed as the investigator of the case on November 23, 2020 following the application of the plaintiff in the case.
The investigating officer of the case, Police Inspector (retd) Md. Nasirul Islam said, under the supervision and guidance of Additional IGP, PBI, Mr. Banaj Kumar Majumdar, BPM (Bar), PPM, the accused in the case, Md. Ahsan Habib (35), son of Mustafa Master of Gopinathpur Dakshin Para of Gurdaspur Upazila. Amir Hamza, who was arrested earlier, was arrested from the new bus terminal (Dhaka Terminal) of Natore Sadar Police Station at 10:30 am based on the information. The arrested accused has been produced before the learned Court through Police Scott. So far, three accused, including the husband of Latifa Helen, Mominul, have been arrested.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the family, the plaintiff in the case said that after Mominul and Amir Hamza came out on bail from the High Court, they are publicly threatening to kill the plaintiff along with the witness of the Helen murder case.
Note that Dr. of the same village. The teacher Manjuara got married to Md Mancher Ali’s son Momin (45) 25 years ago while studying in class seven. They got divorced after two years of marriage when he was in ninth grade. After that, after completing his education with much difficulty, he started teaching at Bri-Kasho Government Primary School on 4 January 2010. On 23 July 2019, Latifa Helen was killed and left naked in the pond by local Md Golam Mawla.
