Sherpur (Bogra) Correspondent: Allegations of vandalism of idols have been reported in Visway Shashman Kali temple of Sherpur in Bogra district.
On Sunday (September 11) around noon, the locals found the matter in Bishwa Shashman of Bhabanipur Union of Sherpur Upazila of the district.
Vishwa Shashman Kali Mandir Committee President Chandicharan said miscreants attacked and vandalized the Vishwa Shashman Kali Mandir. Even 6/7 years ago such vandalism happened once.
General Secretary of Bangladesh Puja Celebration Parishad Sherpur Upazila Branch Sangram Kundu said, local Sanatan religious people told me the incident of vandalism around noon.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Sherpur police station Ataur Rahman Khondkar said that the incident is being investigated. Legal action will be taken in this regard.
Sherpur Upazila Nirbahi Officer (UNO) Md. Moinul Islam said, I visited the scene after receiving the news.
