The police recovered the body of a teenager named Ratan Ali (16) from the ground water in Raninagar of Naogaon. The body was recovered on Tuesday morning and sent for autopsy. Kishore Ratan is the son of deceased Abdul Jalil of Bilpalsha village of Upazila.
Kishore Ratan’s cousin Benajul Islam said that Ratan left the house around 5 pm on Monday. Since he did not return home after that, he searched in different places but could not find him. On Tuesday morning, local people found the body lying in the water on the edge of a land south of Bilkrishnapur market. He said that Ratan was mentally unbalanced and speech impaired. Maybe he died later due to natural causes. On receiving the information about the incident, the Raninagar police recovered the body from the spot around 11:00 on Tuesday.
The investigating officer who recovered the body, Inspector (Investigation) Salim Reza, said that Ratan’s body initially showed no signs of injury. To find out how he died, the dead body was recovered and sent to the morgue for post-mortem. An unusual death case has been registered at the police station.
