Eden College student killed after falling from rickshaw

Banalata desk. A student of Eden College named Umme Salma (24) was killed after falling from the rickshaw. Salma was a Masters final year student. This incident happened on Thursday (July 21) around 4 o’clock in the morning.

It is known that Umme Salma (24), a student of Eden Women’s College, went to Dhaka by launch from her village home in Charfashan Upazila of Bhola after the Eid vacation. Umme Salma was seriously injured after falling from the rickshaw at Bangshal while Razia student of Eden Women’s College got off the launch at 3:30 in the morning. Later, when he was taken to Dhaka Medical College Hospital, the doctor on duty declared him dead. The deceased Salma is the daughter of Golam Kibriza Tipu, a former UP member of Achlampur Union. The house of Salmar, who was killed in this incident, is mourning.

Salma’s cousin Hasan said on the phone, after the Eid holiday, I and my cousin arrived at Sadarghat in Dhaka by launch from Bhola at 3:30 in the morning. Later we were going by rickshaw to Razia student residence of Eden Women’s College. On the way, Salma fell out of the rickshaw and hit her head when the rickshaw braked a little before the Fajr service in Bangshal area. Later, when I was taken to Dhaka Medical, the doctor on duty declared my sister dead.

Incharge (Inspector) of Police Camp of DMK Hospital. Bachchu Miza said on the phone, the body has been kept at the DMK morgue for post-mortem. The matter has been informed to the concerned police station.
