The BGB raided the Sonamasjid and Chawkpara border in Shibganj upazila of Chapainawabganj and arrested a young man named Abdul Quddus along with 6,006 pieces of yaba worth Tk 21,1,600. The arrested youth is the son of Ekbar Ali of Mollatola village in Namochakpara of Shahbazpur union of the upazila.
The information was given on Friday afternoon by 59 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Amir Hossain Mollah. Earlier on Thursday night, BGB members conducted separate raids in Namochakpara and Batulpara areas. 59 BGB captain Lt. Colonel Amir Hossain Mollah said that on the basis of secret information, the patrol team of Sonamasjid BOP led by Habildar Selim Parvez raided Monnatola village of Namochakpara in Shahbazpur union of the upazila and arrested Quddus along with 5,200 pieces of yaba.
The estimated value of which is 15 lakh 60 thousand rupees. Meanwhile, Naib Subedar Nurul Islam of Chawkpara BOP conducted a raid in Batulpara area and searched an abandoned bag and seized 1,608 pieces of yaba. The estimated value of which is 5 lakh 41 thousand 600 rupees.
