Independence Day has been celebrated in Bera through various programs with due dignity. Bera Municipal Mayor Adv. Asif Shams Ranjan, Bera Upazila Executive Officer Mohsabur Ali, Bera Municipal Awami League President Abdul Mannan Manu, General Secretary Nazrul Islam, Juba League presented wreaths on behalf of Awami League at “Vijay Bangla” and “Jyotirmoye” established for the memory of martyrs. Various organizations including Swechchhasebak League and Sramik League.
Later, Municipal Mayor Adv. Ashif Shams Ranjan, Upazila Nirbahi Officer Mohammad Sabur Ali, Upazila Chairman Rezaul Haque Babu Bera-Santhia Circle Additional Superintendent of Police Kallol Kumar Dutta, Officer-in-Charge of Bera Police Station Arvind Sarkar were present at the parade and parade at Shaheed Abdul Khaleq Stadium.
