Coca-Cola Company’s subsidiary International Beverages Pvt. Ltd. has won the Bangladesh Innovation Awards-2022 in the category of ‘Best Innovation-SDG Inclusion’.
The winners of the 4th Bangladesh Innovation Awards were announced at the awards ceremony held at Le Meridien in Dhaka on Sunday (March 8). Adviser to the Prime Minister on Private Investment Salman Fazlur Rahman was present as the chief guest along with State Minister for Information and Communication Technology and Mayor of Dhaka North City Corporation Atiqul Islam.
Anwarul Amin, Head of Public Affairs and Communications, received the award on behalf of International Beverages Pvt. Ltd. In the fourth edition of this year’s event, various brands were given Bangladesh Innovation Awards 2022 under 13 main categories and 11 sub-categories.
International Beverages Pvt. Ltd. is awarded for its environmentally friendly manufacturing activities. The Rainwater Harvesting Project (related to SDG6), the installation of solar streetlights (related to SDG6) and the use of economizer in boilers (related to SDG12) are some of the significant initiatives of the organization through which it has improved energy efficiency and sustainable water supply within the plant.
