A woman named Cefali Begum (50) died after hearing the news of her child’s road accident in Shibganj of Chapainawabganj. The incident took place in Pardilalpur area of Shahbazpur union of the upazila around 11am on Tuesday.
Earlier in the morning, three persons, including Sefali Begum’s son, were injured in a head-on collision between a truck and a tractor at Dhoppukur area of Chapainawabganj-Sonamasjid highway. Injured Sumon said, I was going to Kansat with a tractor loaded with soil from Sonamasjid. The tractor collided head-on with a truck coming from the opposite direction when it reached Dhoppukur area.
He and three others were injured. Upon hearing this news, my mother Cefali Begum died of a heart attack. Shibganj Police Station ASI Jahangir Alam said three people, including a tractor driver Sumon, were injured in the truck-tractor collision. The injured were rescued and sent to the Upazila Health Complex for treatment. Meanwhile, Sumon’s mother died after hearing the news of a road accident.
