Police have recovered the body of a tea seller from a corn field at Gurudaspur in Natore. The incident has spread fear among the people of the area.
According to the family sources of the deceased, Fakir Chan (55) went home on Thursday (February 18) after selling tea as usual. He went out to talk about special work. But he did not return home that night. At one stage, on Friday, February 19, at around 9 am, the locals informed the police when they saw the body of Fakir Chan lying in the corn field of the brick field of Gopinathpur Adarsh village.
Gurudaspur police chief confirmed the incident. Abdul Matin said the body was recovered from the spot and sent to Natore morgue. Necessary steps will be taken subject to investigation after the inquest report.
Meanwhile, locals said that Fakir Chan, son of late Hatem Ali of Gopinathpur village in Nazirpur union, used to sell tea and bring sex workers from far and wide to do prostitution in the area.
