Shahjalal University of Science and Technology Vice Chancellor Farid Uddin Ahmed demanded the resignation of an 11-member delegation of students sitting in a meeting with the Minister of Education. Dipu Moni. The meeting started at 3 pm on Friday (February 11) at Sylhet Circuit House.
Mohaiminul Bashar Raj, Yasir Sarkar, Nafisa Anjum, Sabbir Ahmed, Ashiq Hossain Maruf, Sabrina Shahrin Rashid, Sudipta Bhaskar, Shahriar Abedin, Amena Begum, Mir Rana and Jahedul Islam Apurbo took part in the meeting on behalf of the students.
The delegation reached the circuit house at around 3.15 pm. Before joining the meeting, agitating student Shahriar Abedin said that the education minister would first discuss with the 11-member delegation of agitating students. During the visit of the Education Minister, the students are hoping that the ongoing movement on campus will come up with a number of demands including the resignation of the Vice-Chancellor.
