Motorcyclist Baizid Hossain (28) died after being hit by a train at Raninagar in Naogaon. He was seriously injured when a train hit him while he was crossing the railway line with his motorcycle in Barabaria area of the upazila on Saturday evening. He died at Rajshahi Medical College Hospital around 10 pm while undergoing treatment.
The deceased was identified as Baijid Hossain, son of Younus Ali of Uttarpara village in Guata upazila.
Confirming the matter, Santahar Railway Police Station OC Shakiul Azam said Baijid Hossain was crossing the railway line in Barabaria area on a motorcycle on Saturday evening. At that time, a train hit the motorcycle and the driver along with the motorcycle fell under the railway road. He was seriously injured.
The locals rescued Baizid in critical condition and took him to Naogaon Sadar Hospital. As his condition deteriorated there, he was admitted to Rajshahi Medical College Hospital for advanced treatment. Baizid died that night while undergoing treatment there. However, no one was able to confirm which train killed him.
