After killing a sleeping father by strangling him for trying to get married for the second time in Rajshahi, the child buried the body in the septic tank of the toilet. The incident took place in Damkura police station area of Rajshahi city. Police recovered the father’s body on Thursday morning. His name is Sajjad Hossain (65). His son Swapan (32) strangled Sajjad at around midnight on Tuesday.
Damkura Police Station OC Mahbub Alam said Sajjad Hossain had been missing since Tuesday night and his other son Abdul Hadi had lodged a GD with the police station. According to the GD, the police interrogated another boy Swapan. Swapan then confessed that he first tried to kill his father Sajjad by suffocating him. After failing to do so, he was strangled to death. After the murder, Swapan filled the body of father Sajjad Hossain in the septic tank of the toilet of the house.
Swapan further admits that his mother died a year ago. Then the father was talking about getting married for the second time at home. Swapan kills his father Sajjad out of the idea that the property will be divided if he remarries.
