Smugglers exchange fire with police 10 smugglers including Indian nationals arrested

Atwari Baliadangi police station in Panchagarh has been reported to have exchanged fire with the smugglers. Police arrested 10 smugglers, including a microbus and an Indian national. A revolver and 32 pieces of yaba were recovered from them. In this regard, 3 separate cases were filed in Atayari police station.
It is to be noted that on the basis of secret information that a microbus and a lorry were carrying weapons and drugs from Baliadangi police station area of ​​Thakurgaon district to Atwari upazila of Panchagarh, under the leadership of senior assistant superintendent of police Md. Tofazzal Hossain of Ranishankail circle. Md. Abdus Sobhan, Khademul Karim and Masud Mia conducted a chase operation with allied forces at around 9 pm on Monday. At one stage, the smuggler’s microbus carrying weapons and drugs reached the border area of ​​Laxithan in Atwari upazila and the smugglers started firing at the police. Police fired six rounds of blank rubber bullets in self-defense, apprehended them along with an ash-colored microbus (Dhaka Metra-G-14-4003) and recovered a revolver (one shotgun) and 32 Yaba tablets from them along with two fresh bullets. The detainees are: (1) Md. Delwar Hossain (26), son of Md. Khorshed Alam of Harinmari (Udaipur) village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district, (2) Indian citizen Md. Gafur Alam (25) father Md. Jalal, village- Nadai, Kamalagach Suj Panchayat, Islampur Uttar Dinajpur, (3) Md. Abdur Razzak, 23, son of Md. Saleman Ali of Harinmari (Chhota Nayapara) village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district, (4) Son of Shri Bikash Pal (35), (5) Md. Zakir Hossain (25), son of Md. Rafiqul Islam of Yugihar village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district, (6) Son of Md. Kashem Ali of Jugihar village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district 26), (6) Md. Monirul Islam (32), son of late Shukurddi of Kalibari village of Amjankhor union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district, (6) Md. Shamsur Rahman, son of Md. Nasirul Islam (24), (9) Mr. Bishu Pal (29), son of Mr. Karbaru Pal of Kotpara village in Barbari union of Baliadangi upazila of Thakurgaon district, (10) Md. ).
Meanwhile, Baliadangi police arrested them and handed them over to Atwari police station and SI Md Abdus Sabhan filed three separate cases as plaintiffs. Atwari Police Station OC (Investigation) Dulal Uddin admitted the truth of the incident and said that the names of the detainees were kept in the custody of Atwari Police Station on Tuesday afternoon for illegal possession of home-made weapons and ammunition under Section 19-A of the Arms Act, 18. Detainees were sent to jail under Section 4 (4) of the Bangladesh (Control of Entry) Act, 1952 for the offense of Section 9 (a) of the Control Act 38 (1) and for the entry of Indian citizens into Bangladesh without passport and visa.
