On the first day of the immunization program for school-madrasa students aged 12 to 16 in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon, 2,000 students have been vaccinated for the first dose. Students were seen coming to the Upazila Parishad hall to get vaccinated with great enthusiasm from Sunday morning. On this day, 2,000 students of 6 schools and madrasas of the upazila got the first dose of Pfizer vaccine. The vaccination program runs from 10 am to 3 pm on Sunday.
Raninagar Upazila Health and Family Planning Officer. KHM Iftekharul Alam Khan said there are about 13,000 students in 36 schools and madrasas at the secondary level of the upazila. On Sunday, the first day of the immunization program for students between the ages of 12 and 18, 2,000 students from eight schools received the first dose of Pfizer vaccine. The rest of the students will be vaccinated by January 15.
