Blankets have been distributed among helpless and poor people in Raninagar upazila of Naogaon. In the last few days, Sultana Parveen Beauty, wife of late Naogaon-6 MP Israfil Alam, distributed blankets among about 5,000 helpless and poor people of different villages of Raninagar Upazila. Her son Istiaq Alam distributed the blankets on behalf of Sultana Parveen Beauty at the late MP’s house on Saturday.
While distributing the blankets, Istiaq Alam, son of the late MP, said, “My father is the late Israfil Alam MP. He has worked for the helpless and the working people and for this country till his death. He has always provided various grants and assistance to the people. We are still working to make his dream come true and will continue to do so for the rest of his life. That is why we are distributing blankets among the people who are cold in this severe winter.
Istiaq said, “My mother Sultana Parveen Beauty is a member of the sub-committee on women’s affairs of Bangladesh Awami League. He has been providing winter clothes to the people of Raninagar-Atrai every time from his own funds. This time too I have distributed blankets as winter clothes among about 5000 people of Raninagar on his behalf.
