A young man named Saju Sheikh (38) has been arrested for allegedly capturing the bathing video of a primary school teacher in Gaibandha’s Fulchhari Upazila. Fulchhari Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kawsar Ali confirmed the arrest of the youth on Monday night (December 20). The youth was arrested in a raid this afternoon.
According to locals, a teacher of Fulchhari Model Government Primary School was taking a bath in the bathroom of a rented house in Gazaria village on Monday morning. At that time, Saju Sheikh, son of Fazal Sheikh of Galna village of the same union and 2/3 unidentified youths secretly took video of bathing on their mobile phones from the house of Yunus Ali.
The teacher screamed when she realized the video was being recorded. The people in the vicinity came running. By then the video holders had fled the scene. The teacher’s husband filed a case against Saju Sheikh and three other unidentified persons at Fulchhari police station. The police arrested the accused Saju.
Later, when the news spread, teachers, students and locals of Fulchhari Model Government Primary School held a human chain program in the Fulchhari Bazar area of Ulla Bazar-Fulchhari road at around 11 am demanding arrest and punishment of the video holders.
Fulchhari Police Officer-in-Charge (OC) Kawshar Ali confirmed the matter and said that after the teacher’s husband filed a case with the police station, the police conducted a raid and arrested the main accused Saju Sheikh. The operation to arrest the other accused is continuing.
