A two-day science and technology fair has been inaugurated at Gurudaspur in Natore under the theme “Science, Technology and Ethics: Building in unison”. The fair was inaugurated by Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Abu Russell.
According to the organizers, 13 stalls have been set up in the fair under the supervision of the National Museum of Science and Technology and under the patronage of the Ministry of Science and Technology. Students of 5 colleges and 6 secondary schools of the upazila got divided into two classes of junior and senior.
Upazila Chairman Anwar Hossain, Vice Chairman Alal Sheikh, Women Vice Chairman Roxana Akhter Lipi, Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Waheduzzaman, Academic Supervisor Md. Bazlur Rahman and others were present at the inaugural function.
Tuli, Mitu and Kaniz Fatema Bithi, science students of Rosy Mozammel Women’s College, who participated in the fair, said that their invented herbal ingredients will naturally make the hair black and healthy without any harm. No harmful chemicals were used.
Mahiya, Nehal, Brishti, Maymuna, students of Gurudaspur Begum Rokeya High School, said they have created an app. Apps that will help keep young people away from deviance, especially drugs.
Upazila Secondary Education Officer Md. Waheduzzaman said that such an arrangement is basically to make the students interested in science in the age of modern information technology. Creating students will inspire you to create something new in the future.
Gurudaspur Upazila Assistant Commissioner Md. Abu Russell said that such an arrangement was made for the students to develop their science mindset and talent. Students who come to visit the stall will see the invented creations and creative thinking will be created in them too.
