Two killed in separate road accidents in Gurudaspur

Two people have been killed in a tragic road accident at Gurudaspur in Natore. Among the dead were a teenager and a laborer. The incident took place around 8 am on Thursday. Worker Chhanwarul Islam, 22, died on the spot when he was hit by a Rajshahi-bound Mintu Paribahan leaving from Dhaka while crossing the road at Nayabazar area of ​​Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway in Gurudaspur.
According to the locals, Chanowarul is a day laborer. He is the son of late Tofazzal Hossain of Dadua village in Dharabarisha union of the upazila. He came to Nayabazar Sramik Haat in search of work. He was killed on the spot when the vehicle hit him while crossing the road. Even then the locals rescued him and took him to Gurudaspur Hospital. The doctor in charge, Sanchita Sarkar, confirmed his death.
On the other hand, a teenager named Chabbir Hossain (13), son of Saidur Bahman of Raipur village in Chapila union of the upazila was killed on the spot when he collided with a bike at Kalibari in Raipur on his way home from Nishchintapur. The injured van driver Nur Mohammad (52) has been admitted to Baraigram Hospital.
Confirming the matter, Officer-in-Charge (OC) of Gurudaspur Police Station Md Abdul Matin said the body of the deceased has been recovered. Necessary steps will be taken later subject to investigation. Meanwhile, Natore Highway Police Station OC Mozaffar Hossain said the body of a worker killed in a road accident in Nayabazar area of ​​Bonpara-Hatikumrul highway has been recovered.
