Police have arrested four people in Bagha, Rajshahi, along with 100 bottles of Fencidil and 10 grams of heroin. Police arrested them in separate raids. On Saturday (23-10-2021) morning, two persons were arrested with 10 grams of heroin – Rafiqul Islam and Atim Kumar, son of late Iyad Ali of Kaligram. They were also detained from Kaligram area of Bagha municipality. The detainees were identified as Ibrahim Hossain, son of Abu Taleb of Dakshin Kapatula village in Faridpur and Swapan Ahmed, son of Abdus Salam of Palashi Fatehpur village in Padma char area of the upazila. Two persons were arrested from Shimul Tala Ghat area of Chanpur upazila along with 100 bottles of Fencidil and a pick-up. Phensidyls brought from India by river were being picked up in Chanpur Shimul Talarghat area. However, Abdus Salam escaped from the spot.
Bagha Police Station OC Sajjad Hossain said a case has been filed against one of the fugitives including the detainee under the Narcotics Control Act.
