People’s representatives, political leaders, representatives of all religions, socio-cultural organizations, students, teachers, journalists and people of all walks of life have gathered in Gurudaspur, Natore against the barbaric communal violence fueled by communal-fundamentalists in different parts of the country. The rally ended at 3 pm on Thursday after going around the important roads of the city from the Upazila Parishad premises to the Upazila premises again.
Natore District A-League Joint General Secretary Sarkar Emdadul Haque Mohammad Ali, Upazila Vice Chairman Mohammad Tamal Hossain participated in the rally. Alal Sheikh, Women Vice Chairman Roxana Akhter, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Md. Abu Russell, Officer-in-Charge of Gurudaspur Police Station Md. Abdul Matin, Chapila UP Chairman Alal Uddin Bhutto, Municipal A-League General Secretary Ariful Islam Biplob, Joint General Secretary Rezaul Thousands of people of all religions and professions including Karim Sabuj.
Speakers at the rally strongly condemned the attacks, vandalism, arson and looting at the puja mandapa and houses and demanded the arrest and exemplary trial of the communal miscreants. They called upon all to be vigilant against evil forces. # Md. Majem Ali Malin
