Two brothers fight for the post of chairman in the UP election

In the Buraburi Union Parishad election of this upazila, his two brothers are contesting for the post of chairman. Former chairman of the union Awami League supporter big brother. Kamruzzaman Kamu is contesting as an independent candidate this time. And younger brother Md. Sheikh Kamal is contesting the election as the nominee of the Awami League party.

The two brothers are optimistic about winning the election. Curiosity has arisen among the locals about the voting battle of their two brothers. Many are talking about it again. Doing negative comments.
Locals and family members said that a family quarrel has been going on between the two brothers for some time. As a result, no one agreed to give a discount. Family members, relatives and neighbors are in trouble as two brothers from the same family are competing.
Former chairman of the union Awami League supporter big brother. Kamruzzaman Kamu said, “I was the elected chairman of Buraburi Union Parishad from 2011 to 2016. Last time he (Md. Sheikh Kamal) also participated in the election for the post of chairman. He lost by just 63 votes. I was beside the happiness and sorrow of the people of the area. I have been working in the field for a long time. He said that he took part in the election again under the pressure of the locals. Kamruzzaman is optimistic about winning this time. He also mentioned that his younger brother had not discussed the matter with anyone in the family.
On the other hand, the Awami League nominated candidate. Sheikh Kamal said, as a party I have been nominated for the post of chairman. He (Kamruzzaman Kamu) has admitted that he may be a candidate due to family quarrels. I told his activist supporters that I would get the party symbol and that I would be a candidate in the election. But even then he has been a candidate. The people of this union are by my side. I am hopeful that they will strengthen the hand of the people’s leader Sheikh Hasina by voting for me in the boat race.
Tentulia Upazila Election Officer and Returning Officer. Ali Hossain said, besides two brothers, 6 candidates are contesting for the post of chairman in Buraburri union of the upazila. One Islamic movement, one from Bangladesh and five others took part in the election as independents. The total number of voters here is 9128. Of these, 4,006 are male voters and 4,526 are female voters. The union will go to the polls on November 11 by ballot.
