Rally of peace and harmony in Gaibandha against communal violence

The district Awami League organized a rally in Gaibandha on Tuesday against the barbaric communal violence fueled by communal-fundamentalists in different parts of the country. A large number of leaders and activists of Awami League, Juba League, Chhatra League and allied organizations took part in it.

In the morning, a rally led by district Awami League general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique left the party’s district office and marched around the city in the rain. Later, a protest rally was held in front of Ganasas Market on DB Road. District Awami League general secretary Abu Bakar Siddique, vice-president Farhad Abdullah Harun Bablu, organizing secretary Piarul Islam, Mridul Mostafiz Jhantu, city Awami League president Adv. Shah Masood Jahangir Kabir Milon, organizational secretary Khan. Saeed Hossain Jasim, District Juba League President Sardar. Shahid Hossain Lotan, General Secretary Shah Ahsan Habib Rajib, District BCL President. Asif Sarkar, District Krishka League General Secretary Deepak Kumar Pal, Swechchhasebak League President Mosharraf Hossain Dulal, General Secretary Mostaq Ahmed Ranju, former District Chhatra League President Abdul Latif Akand and others.
The speakers strongly condemned the attacks, vandalism, arson and looting at Pooja M-Pay and houses and demanded the arrest and exemplary trial of the communal miscreants. They called upon the leaders and workers to always be vigilant against evil forces.
