Local Rabiul Islam, 40, has been accused of raping a 6-year-old boy for allegedly giving him biscuits. The child was raped on the roof of a building under construction in Dudhgari area of Nazirpur union of the upazila on Monday evening.
On the same night, the father of the raped child filed a rape case with the Gurudaspur police station. Police arrested rapist Rabiul Islam at night in connection with the case. The rapist Rabiul was sent to Natore District Jail through the court on Tuesday afternoon. The accused Rabiul Islam is the son of Joyen Pramani Kar of the same village.
The boy’s father said neighbor Ruil Islam lured his daughter to buy biscuits and raped her on the roof of a house under construction by local Nazrul Islam. At one point, when the child screamed, the rapist Rabiul fled. The child was later taken to hospital when he fell ill. He has filed a rape case on the night of the incident.
Gurudaspur Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Abdul Matin said Rabiul, accused in the case filed by the child’s father, had been arrested and sent to jail. Now the child is undergoing medical examination. # Md. Majem Ali Malin 01719734520 / 05.10.2021
