Police have arrested a drug dealer named Amirul Islam alias Shakib (22) along with 400 pitch yaba in Bagha, Rajshahi. He was arrested in a raid in Mahdipur area of Bagha upazila on Thursday (30-9-2021). The arrested drug dealer is the son of Jamal Uddin of Talbaria village in the adjoining Charghat upazila.
A Bagha police spokesperson said Rajshahi District Superintendent of Police ABM Masud Hossain, under the direction of BPM and led by Bagha Thana officer, conducted a raid on a paved road in front of his house in Mahdipur area of the upazila and arrested him with 400 yellow yaba pills. Which is approximately 1 lakh 20 thousand rupees. Amirul Islam has been dealing drugs with the administration for a long time. Charghat and Bagha police stations have drug cases against him before.
Bagha Police Station Officer (OC) Sajjad Hossain said the arrested Amirul Islam was sent to jail through a court on Friday morning with a case under the Narcotics Act.
