Bera Model Police rescued an unidentified 26-year-old girl who was seriously injured in a road accident and handed over the responsibility of treatment to Bera Human Welfare Organization.
Arvind Sarkar, Officer-in-Charge of Bera Model Police Station, said that Bera Model Police Station found a mentally handicapped man lying on the road at Amaikola on Dhaka-Bogra Highway around 12pm on Saturday night. Police rushed him to Bera Upazila Health Center. He was admitted there. He was initially treated there. The doctor of Bera Hospital is of the opinion that at some point in the night, a moving vehicle passed over his feet and he was seriously injured and escaped.
Meanwhile, Arvind Sarkar, officer-in-charge of Bera Model Police Station, told Manik Hossain, chief coordinator of Bera Human Welfare Organization, that the condition of the severely injured mentally deranged girl was deteriorating. Arranged to be sent to Sadar Hospital.
A group of young, unidentified, disabled girl from Bera Human Welfare Organization is staying at the present Pabna Sadar Hospital.
Moin Uddin Khwaja, director of Bera Manab Kalyan Sangstha, said there would be no shortage of efforts on the part of his organization to cure the unidentified mental patient.
Dr. Soheli Sauntani, Resident Medical Officer of Bera Health Center, said that the bones of both legs were broken when the moving vehicle fell on the girl’s legs.
Officer-in-charge of Bera Model Police Station Arvind Sarkar said that he had handed over the girl to the members of human welfare organization from their side.
