School teacher killed by student in Rajshahi

Retired headmistress of the same institution Maya Rani Ghosh (6) was killed by student Milon Sheikh (40) in Rajshahi city. On Tuesday (September 21) morning, he suffocated the teacher to death for the sake of gold ornaments.
Police have arrested him in the incident. The slain Maya Rani Ghosh is a former headmistress of Mannujan Government Primary School in the city. The arrested Milon is a former student of the same school and son of Kalu Sheikh of Phudkipara area of ​​the city.

Rajshahi Metropolitan Police (RMP) Additional Commissioner of Police Majid Ali told a news conference at the city’s Boalia police station on Wednesday (September 22nd) afternoon. He said Milon had planned to kill Maya Rani and take her necklace, bracelet and earrings. For this reason, he went to Maya’s house in the name of renting a house for a few days. He also went to Maya’s house on Tuesday. When no one was at home that day, Milon found Maya alone and suffocated her and took her gold ornaments and mobile phone.

Majid Ali said the police had been working to find the person involved since the incident. He was arrested on Tuesday night. At that time three and a half loads of gold ornaments were recovered from his house. Besides, Maya Rani’s mobile phone and SIM card were found in the place shown by her on the roof of a market. Milon has been shown arrested in a murder case and will be sent to jail through the court.
