Police have recovered the hanging body of a young man named Bakul Hossain (26) from an online office in Raninagar, Naogaon. The body was recovered from his office at Meerut Uttarpara Bazar in the upazila on Sunday evening. Police say a suicide note was found at the scene. The note states that the young man committed suicide due to debt and depression. However, he also apologized to those who received money from the young Bakul, according to the notes. He is the son of Zaidul Islam of Mirat Uttarpara village in Bakul Hossain upazila.
The victim’s father Zaidul Islam said, my son used to work online (net). He also had a net office at Meerut Uttarpara Bazar. We eat together on Sunday afternoons. After eating, I went to work. The boy Bakul took a rest after eating and went to his net office in the market at around 3.30 pm. After a while the locals called me to the market by phone. I came to the market and went to his office room and saw the body of the boy with the rope tied around his neck hanging from the door of the office room. When the matter was later reported to the police, the police recovered my son’s body in the evening and took it away. However, his family could not say the exact cause of Bakul’s death.
Raninagar Police Station OC Shahin Akand said the body of the youth was recovered from the spot and sent to Naogaon Sadar Hospital morgue for autopsy. Police recovered a suicide note from the spot. It is written in the suicide note that the young man committed suicide due to debt and despair. An unnatural death case has been filed at the police station. The official also said that an investigation is underway into the incident.
