Deputy Minister for Education Mohibul Hasan Chowdhury Nowfel on Saturday said initially, there will be classes once a week after reopening of schools and colleges across the country.
“Initially, it is being considered to take classes once a week in schools and colleges. But that may change, maybe or we will be able to take more classes,” said the deputy minister made the comment on Saturday while talking to journalists after inaugurating One Stop Emergency Care at Chattogram Medical College Hospital.
Nowfel said he hopes that they can start classes according to the specific date given by the Education Minister.
The Deputy Minister for Education said, “Efforts will be made to take HSC and SSC examinations in person. That is the goal for now. Assignment activities will run normally. We have outlined a new syllabus for the future.”
He also said that the new syllabus will be implemented after discussions with the Prime Minister.
Nowfel said the closure of schools and colleges has put a mental stress on students.
“The education sector has been affected mostly. We have tried to continue educational activities online, offline and on television under the direction of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina. Efforts have been made to continue education activities at all levels including primary, lower secondary, secondary and higher secondary. But that is not enough.”
